IHS Composition Contest Coordinator

I am immensely honored and excited to have been selected to serve as the Composition Contest Coordinator for the International Horn Society! Professor Randall Faust has done a fabulous job in this role for many years - big shoes to fill, indeed!! New music is near and dear to my heart!! I look forward to being introduced to a wide frontier of future musical compositions to share with our horn community through this composition contest and the subsequent promotion of these pieces in featured recital performances at IHS conferences, publications through the IHS, my own recitals, performances by my students, and beyond!! New music is the lifeblood of our art form!! I LOVE that there are two categories of entries: one level for new music that ALL levels of players can perform and another level for virtuoso new music. COMPOSERS: be on the lookout for information about our upcoming composition contest!!
